Book Review | A Court of Thorn & Roses (ACOTAR) by Sarah J. Maas

#3 Im only here for the plot twist. Which actually happen on the second book (A Court of Mist & Fury) – known from a tons of recommendation. I’ll feel left behind if I didnt crystal clear the plot path so I decide to read from the #1 book.

But honey bunch yeah like that gonna stop me from talking (actually writing) how good the book was. Tho from my slight experience of reviewing romance fantasy novel was approximately 2%. But this book, really killing me inside out.

Goodreads Summary:
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlinโ€”one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.
As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she’s been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlinโ€”and his worldโ€”forever.

I dont know what shud I hate about this book but I guess I’ll start from how much its stabbing my heart. Well, the plot was just straight forward by the way, from the first part of it we all know how Feyre lives gonna be and even predict how it will it end. Like I said it was all that you can predict of.
Tho Im actually enjoy how the romance development. But I bet since it was just the first book.. there is so much consequences and larger part of stories unrevealed yet. Prepare for mind blowing sequels!
Feyre – Stubborn, fragile, insecure
Tamlin – Handsome but just too good to be true.
Lucien – Stone heart but secretly cared for those he loved.
There are few characters that I fond of but better I let you discover  them. She was a maniac and he was a darling ๐Ÿฑ, its all I could ever said.
I really like how SAJ inject humor on her writing, it was simple yet make me laugh out loud. Kudos to the author.
The ending was both predictable and not predictable. I mean of course she will *spoiler alert* but in what way and only Couldron know how.
If you enjoy romance-fantasy kind of thingy then this was the perfect book. This book remind me of other book that I loved and read at Wattpad : Bride of Alvar. Full of stubbornness and tears it is.

Rating :
Warning : Soft core alert, read with your own risk.
Its time to go to the sec and #4 novel of the year. ๐Ÿ˜€

  • Terima kasih @imanpublication providing me a free copy in exchange with a honest review. Belum habis baca sebenarnya tapi nak post dulu lah teaser. ๐Ÿ˜‹

Dah baca 180 pages and I love it! Okay sy cuba berlaku adil dengan buku-buku yg sy pernah bca sebelum ni. But this one, was one of its kind. Susunan ayat, installing the character personalities semuanya menjangkaui telahan yang saya telah fikirkan berkenaan novel-novel melayu ๐Ÿ˜‚.
.
.
.
Daebak! But I need to dig more sebab tak selalu buku melayu membuatkan semangat membaca saya membara ๐Ÿ˜‰.
  • QOTD : What book make you cringe to do something after reading it?
.
.
.
Last week I've been indulge myself in gaming assuming an assassin role mentioned in #projekathena. The mutual connection between the role both in the book also in ML make me cringe to know what its like to be an assassin. Eventually I fall in love with her. So my next move is climbing up the local rank for that particular heroes ๐Ÿ˜‚. I blame @syeraho for this. .
.
.
Back to this book, its been a tearful journey, it was a long reading but a worthy one. I bet one can finish it in one sit as the words uses is simple and understandable.
.
.
.
Not to mentioned it was my first book from HF. Honestly its hard to rate this kind of book, where islamic lifestyle and fiction were blend together. For my version of rating, I tend to give high rate to the book which has intimate, personal connection to the reader (me), so for that reason I'll give 4โญ. Even after catching a headache resulting from tears streaming last night ๐Ÿ˜ฃ. .
.
.
This book recommend for a light reading, bedtimes stories also to those who keen to seek assuring words of His Promises. No particular reader, I think its just suit for everyone. Also a nice book to read it Ramadan!

  • QOTD : What book do you bought only because of its cover?
.

.
First time encounter buku published by @katapilarbooks ialah masa baca Syif Tengah Malam. Rupanya this is penerbit yg penulis dia dikalangan doktor, misi also yang bertugas di hospital.

.
One of many reason I like about them is their cover yg lain dari yang lain. Mcm this one.

.
Jadi izinkan saya post pasal book cover mendahului book review dulu ya. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  • Big thanks to @prologmed cos hosting a GA for this book last year

Or worse? Or dlm erti kata lain kena baca dlu buku ni baru tahu ๐Ÿ˜‚.
.
.
.
Sometimes rasa geram but another time rasa bahagia tgk kebahagiaan character biarpun fiksi semata.
.
.
.
Overall it was a good book. Kalau fans tentang Hermione with Time Turner, Harry Potter and The Cursed Child boleh lah try baca buku ni, setiap kisah ada teladan masing-masing. Hahh suspen takk? .
.
.
โญโญโญโญ/5 cause I want more. The book alone tak cukup ๐Ÿ˜‚.
